AdhkārAṣ-Ṣabāḥi wal Masā wa Adhkār Al-Yawmi wal Lailah is the recitation of a collection of authentic prophetic supplications for the Morning and Evening and Day and Night, recited expressively by Shaykh Mishary Rashed Al-Afasy. These supplications, also known as adhkār or dhikr, contain great virtues and blessings and are an important source of daily protection.
Dhikr is mentioned in many places in the Holy Qur'ān and Hadīth:
“Remember Me and I will remember you…” (Sūrah Al-Baqarah: 152)
“Those who remember Allāh standing, sitting, and reclining on their
sides…” (Sūrah Āli-ʿImrān: 191) “Verily, in the remembrance of Allāh
do hearts find rest…" (Sūrah Ar-Raʿad: 28) and, “And, Glorify His
praises in the morning and evening” (Sūrah Al-Aḥzāb: 42).
Abū Musa Al-Ashʿarī narrated that the Messenger of Allāh said: the comparison between the one who mentions Allāh and the one who does not is like the living and the dead (Bukhārī & Muslim).
Abū Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allāh said: there is nothing nobler than duʿā (Aḥmad, At-Tirmidhī, Al-Ḥākim and others).
Abū Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allāh said: three people whose duʿās will not be rejected are those who remember Allāh often, the oppressed and the just ruler (Al-Baihaqī).
